DC chairs meeting to finalize arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)
BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad Monday chaired a meeting of officers to finalize the arrangements for the smooth celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in the district.
The concerned officers were directed to ensure adequate arrangements of security, power supply, sanitation, transport, medical facilities, water supply, food grains etc in the district and particularly at Ahm i Sharief Shrine Bandipora during Milaad days.
The DC stressed upon the officers for providing all the requisite facilities to the devotees visiting shrines and other mosques during the Milad days across the district.
He further stressed for close coordination and synergy among line departments for ensuring uninterrupted arrangements of electricity, transport management, medicare, water, sanitation facilities etc.
The DC also directed for constituting market checking teams for proper market checking to keep availability of essentials at reasonable rates in Markets.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi, ACR Bandipora, ARTO/DIO Bandipora, AD Food, Executive Engineer JKPDCL Bandipora and officials from MC Bandipora, Administrator Waqf Board Ahemsharief besides other concerned officials.
