Police arrests two gamblers in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police arrested two gamblers in Baramulla and seized stake money from their possession, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that acting on specific information regarding gambling activities at Takiya Wagoora, a police party raided the specific spot and arrested two gamblers. They have been identified as Jahangir Ahmad Shah son of Mehraj ud Din Shah resident of Takiya Wagoora and Parvaiz Ahmad Malik son of Bashir Ahmad Malik resident of Gousia Colony Hadipora.
Officers have seized stake money of ₹3800/- and playing cards from their possession. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody, the spokesman added.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation has been initiated.
