Dehradun
Poem by: Peer Mohammad Amir Qureshi
Amidst the tall trees in Dehradun town,
White birds perched, with feathers so fair,
Their sweet songs ringing all around,
A mystical aura filled the air.
At the bustling tea stall, people gathered,
The aroma of tea wafted so divine,
A drunken youth stood there, eyes haggard,
Lost in his own world, no sense of time
An old man spoke, deep in conversation,
Each person lost in their own world’s fray,
Boys played cricket, with such elation,
While a child walked barefoot, on his way.
In this town of wonder, life thrived,
Each soul wrapped in their own tale.
