Markaze Fikro Fun, Asian Mail Communications hold daylong Naatiya Mushaira

Event held in collaboration with Muslim Public High School

Srinagar: Markaze Fikro Fun and Asian Mail Communications in collaboration with Muslim Public High School Kursu Rajbagh, Srinagar organised a one-day Naatiya and Sufi Mushaira on Wednesday.

During the event school children and poets recited naat and poetry in front of the audience. The program was presided over by a well-known Poet, Writer and Broadcaster of the valley, Abdul Ahad Farhad, while poet and Journalist Imdad Saqi and the Chairman of Muslim Public High School Mohammad Altaf and Former Principal Mohammad Hussian were present.

On this occasion, sufi poet Manzoor Damdaar’s poetry book was released. Welcoming the distinguished poets and other people, Asian Mail Editor-in-chief Rashid Rahil said that the holy month of Ramadan has given us the chance to organise the Naatiya and Mushaira.

He said that while organising such events has been a privilege to our organisation, today’s event was organized to refresh the human soul.

He said that Organizing such programs in the present era is very important for the new generation because our young generation is not aware of the spiritual teachings of their ancestors.On this occasion,  Abdul Ahad Farhad said that the youth should follow in the footsteps of their ancestors. By doing this, one can become a better person and will achieve success, so by organizing such programs, Asian Mail is doing a great job. He also commented on the poems of “Samar Baar”.

Senior Journalist and Poet Imdad Saqi congratulated the organisers for organising such a program and said that teachers can play a better and key role in attracting the young generation towards literature and culture.

The poets who presented their poetry in front of the audiences among them were Abdul Ahad Farhad, Imdad Saqi, Engineer Bashir Shabnam, Mirza Bashir Shakir, Manzoor Damdar, Hameed Nasir, Ashraf Nisar, Rashid Rahil, Ghulam Mohammad Gulzar and school children Ayan Fayaz, Mohammad Daim and Musadiq  Ahmed Sheikh.

On this occasion, Advocate Israr Ahmed hosted the program while other important figures who joined the program include fiction writer Shakeel ul Rehman, journalist  and Editor KNS Muhammad Aslam Bhat, Shaukat Sahil, Mehboob Jeelani, Firdous Wani, Imtiyaz Gulzar were also present on this occasion.

Principal of the School Shazia Rafeeq gave a vote of thanks and said in the future Asian Mail will organize such Programmes again.At last, awards were distributed among the children who participated in this programme.
