DC Shopian conducts surprise visit of DH Shopian, PHC Tukroo
Inspects various sections of the hospital; takes stock of healthcare services
SHOPIAN: To assess the provision of health services being provided to the public, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Friday conducted surprise visits of various healthcare centres of the district, including District Hospital Shopian.
During the visit, the DC toured various sections of the District Hospital and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients there.
He visited different sections and wards including OPD, Registration counter, USG centre, CT scan room, wards and other sections of the hospital and enquired about the functioning of USG and CT scan machine. He was apprised about the clinical and non clinical services being given to the patients, attendants and general public visiting the hospital.
The DC directed the BMO Shopian, Dr. Mohammad Yousuf to ensure provision of quality medicare facilities to the public.
Later, the DC inspected the PHC Tukroo and took stock of Medicare facilities there and directed the health functionaries to provide better healthcare treatment to the patients.
The DC also interacted with the patients at both the hospitals and enquired about the medical facilities being provided to them and sought feedback from the public on a variety of issues concerning healthcare.
The DC also checked the attendance and directed the healthcare functionaries to work with utmost dedication and punctuality.
