Capacity Building, Orientation program on Self-Employment schemes held
KULGAM: A day long Capacity Building cum Orientation program for Self Help Group (SHG) members of UMEED was Saturday organized at NRLM Block office Kulgam.
On the occasion, Career Counselling Officer from District Employment & Counseling Center Kulgam Shazlia Quershia gave orientation and counseling sessions on various self-employment schemes like PMEGP, schemes under Mission Youth like Tejaswani etc.
Besides making the participants aware about the various incentives based self-employment schemes and importance of registration on employment portal, the participants were also counseled about the sector specific schemes as per their interests and aptitude.
Later, Community Financial Literacy (CFL) awareness was also given by the lead Bank Kulgam on Digital Payment system and various Social Security schemes like Prime Minister Suraksha Bima Yojna(PMSBY), Prime Minister Jevan Jyoti Bima Yojna(PMJJBY) and other schemes.
Almost 40 SHG members participated in the event and were made aware about the online Registration process on J&K Employment Portal and the multiple services offered by J&K Employment Portal and NCS Portal.
The program was attended by District Program manager NRLM, Block Program Managers, representatives from LEAD Bank and other concerned.
