Patience has an important role in our life. In-fact expecting a comfortable, luxurious and prosperous life as a bed of roses and a life free from misfortunes, hardships and difficult times, without experiencing the patience in life is not possible at all.

From a kid’s admission in school till his career building, he faces tremendous hardships and difficult times to achieve his goal in life. Similarly after wedding husband wife duo can’t live a peaceful and satisfied life unless both of them willingly show patience in their post married life.

A wife can’t easily be adjusted in the newer environment and she has to be patient while dealing with every member of the new family. Her mother in-law and her sister’s in-law are not her blood relatives, so she can’t be treated the way she used to be at her parental home.

Off and on there would be verbal abuses between the ladies and sometimes it turns into a wrangle then the side observing patience will only win. Thus the only weapon to overcome the melancholic situations is to observe patience. It is here to mention that sometimes husband wife duo also do altercations because two souls of different natures, genealogy and cognitive abilities have been brought together by tying of nuptial. For both the members dearest prophet (SAW) has prescribed the noble tablet of patience to save the sacred bond from being broken.

A seed is sown in the soil, it transforms into a seedling then into a full-fledged plant only after withstanding high/low temperatures, strong winds and the attack of birds that is through patience it transforms from a dead entity into a living being. Sometimes when a person suffers from an ailment or is injured due to any accident, it takes him a long time to get rid of the bad times.

His hard earned money is somewhat lost in lieu of treatment, he is restricted to bed for months and years and sometimes he has to face painful procedures. At these moments what the ailing person needs to show extreme level of patience and he must win over the difficult and most challenging times through his strong weapon of patience.

If we analyse the historical accounts and biographies of all the successful personalities of the globe, we come to the conclusion that all of them have faced annoying times. It is their zeal, zest and fortitude-in other words their strong will of patience that they have beaten the hardships and succeeded in life.

When we turn up the pages of our sacred religious scriptures, the highest level of patience of Hazrat Ayoub (AS) is an eye opener for all of us. The patience shown by Hazrat Yousuf’s father at the time of his beloved son’s missing is written in golden words in the glorious Quran.

Similarly all the prophets who were sent by almighty Allah the supreme creator of this universe for preaching noble teachings to their era of people, faced tremendous impediments and retaliatory situations. But all of them never lagged behind instead moved on through patience and God’s belief.

As a result they were super successful persons on this planet. Due to their patience and super belief on existence and unity of almighty Allah, they were successful both in this world and in hereafter also, they are promised to be the heirs of Jannah.

If we take the example of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam the former president and famous nuclear scientist of India, it is because of his noble efforts that we are presently a certified nuclear state among other eight of the globe.

When we read his early life, it brings tears in our eyes. His father was a boatman and thus a poor person to manage the expenses of his family and educational liabilities of his children. Feeling the poor and fragile economic conditions of his family, APJ Abdul Kalam went for work in a factory.

He also worked as a paper boy to help his poor father to overcome the worsening economic conditions of his family. And today we regard Dr Kalam a successful person who not only managed to beat the hardships but also set an example for us to work hard, be dedicated to our mission and work and lastly be patient while encountering the hard times and difficult situations. It is only because of his patience and dedication that he rose to the position of India’s president and a great nuclear scientist. Today whole nation feels proud for Dr Kalam even after his death.

As we know our vale is the last resting place of hundreds of God fearing saints who have come here from distant lands like Simnan and Hamdan for illuminating the hearts and minds of local residents by the noble teachings of Islam. It is because of their patience and fortitude that we are presently a Muslim majority region of the country. They faced countless hardships, left their belongings and families at their birth places but through utmost patience they have pleased their Lord, for which they shall be certainly rewarded on the Day of Judgment.

If we take the example of a handicraft worker who works from dawn to dusk, faces annoying times but at the end of the day, a well-decorated and resplendent carpet is  prepared which fetches them good earning.

Similarly a potter prepares mud for many days before it gets ready for pottery. It demands a lot of carefulness and hard work to prepare the mud. So without patience a potter can’t succeed in making the pottery items.

So let me to conclude this write-up by these words of Hazrat Ali ra “Life consists of two days, one for you and one against you. So when it is for you, don’t be proud or reckless and when it is against you, be patient for both the days are test for you”.
