Minor dies after tree falls on him
Anantnag: An eight-year-old minor died when a tree fell on him in Magraypora area of Achabal in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, reports said Saturday.
They said that the minor identified as Azhar Jahangir son of Jahangir Ahmad Ganie of Kanganhall Achabal came under a tree that fell while being cut down by some locals.
An official said that the minor, who was going on cycle at the time of the incident, was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. Police have taken cognizance of the incident, the official added. (GNS)
