Training, orientation programme on ‘Integrated Farming System’ held
SRINAGAR: Divisional level training cum orientation programme on ‘Adoption & Promotion of Integrated Farming System’ was today held at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi, Srinagar.
The programme was inaugurated by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Mohammad Syeed Peer.
Speaking to the participants, the Joint Director Agriculture Extension underlined the importance of integrated farming concept.
He said that there is a large number of farming families practicing integrated farming in the rural areas but awareness has to be raised among the farmers in general regarding the benefits of integrated farming system.
He asked the participants of the training programme to work in coordination for the successful implementation of projects under holistic documents.
The training programme was attended by the Officers of Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, Animal Husbandry Department, KVKs, SKUAST-K and allied wings.
