Seven-days training program concludes at Pulwama

Pulwama: A seven-day training program for a “Pea Producer group” of 25 Self-Help Group (SHG) members, organised by the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) concluded on Tuesday at Pulwama.

The training was held in collaboration with the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Pulwama.

The program was designed to help these members learn about packaging of peas, with the goal of starting the packaging process in April 2023.

“The collaboration between NRLM and KVK aims to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to the SHG members to help them establish and expand their businesses, and ultimately improve their livelihoods,” an official said.

The aim of the programme was to develop the skill of the rural Women in processing of fruits and vegetables so that they will become job providers rather than job seekers.

Scientist KVK Pulwama Dr Towseef Ahmad wani provided hands-on training to the Mahila Kissan of NRLM Pulwama.
