Traffic Awareness camp held at Anantnag
ANANTNAG: The vehicle owners on Saturday were apprised of the importance of road safety measures and rules, as part of the Road Safety programme
The programme is being observed at Harnag Railway Station.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer Anantnag Dr Mohammad Zubair Lattoo advised the vehicle owners to avoid overspeeding, wear helmets and seat belts, avoid alcohol consumption and keep the phone off while driving, and not to indulge in drunk driving and overloading.
Bus, truck, autorickshaw, Tempo and car drivers besides two-wheeler riders and members of the public attended the programme.
Later a fitness camp for commercial vehicles was conducted in which more than 200 vehicles were inspected for issuance of fitness certificates.
