DC chairs Draft Master, City Dev. Plan of Shopian town
SHOPIAN: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Friday chaired a review meeting on Draft Master Plan and Sustainable City Development Plan of Shopian Town.
During the meeting, the DC deliberated upon the eight plans for Urban Development viz City Development Plan, City Livelihood Plan, City Smart Vending Plan, City Tourism and Culture Plan, Environment Free Town Plan, Green City Plan, Facade Improvement Plan, Drainage and sewerage and Street Lighting Plan.
The DC asked for expediting the pre-execution processes on sustainable and smart lines.
He also passed directions to build momentum on key milestones regarding urban development, including the Draft Master Plan which must be formulated keeping in view the needs of the people and the environment and respecting limits to development besides to examine new areas for development.
