BBBP Week: Mahila Sabhas held at Anantnag
ANANTNAG: As part of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Week, a weeklong calendar of activities has been framed by District Social Welfare Officer Anantnag for celebrating the week and spreading awareness regarding the flagship programme in Anantnag district.
The department on Thursday organised mahila sabha in various areas of the district.
The mahila sabhas witnessed participation of females of all ages and issues pertaining to females in areas of development, coverage under welfare schemes were discussed.
A sticker campaign was also held in which informative stickers were pasted in all public offices displaying information regarding the scheme and the steps taken by the department for promoting welfare of girl children.
Previously, the department organized pledge ceremonies throughout the district regarding the BBBP programme and felicitated new born girl children.
The activities under the program will be held throughout the week.
