DHEW-Mission Shakti Budgam holds Awareness programme
BUDGAM: The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW)- Mission Shakti Budgam on Monday organised an awareness programme on different schemes .
During the program, speakers spoke about Pension schemes, Scholarship schemes, Prosthetic Aids and SMAS among public and PRI representatives at Gopalpora, Chadoora.
It also highlighted the working and functioning of the District Social Welfare department at district level.
The team threw light on Women empowerment schemes available at District level such as DHEW, OSC, WHL 181, Shelter Home, Marriage Assistance Scheme, Ladli Beti, PMMVY, Employment generation schemes such as Tajeswani, Mumkin and PMEGP.
DHEW team provided awareness regarding updated Schemes , criteria and documentation.
The team also gave detailed information on how DLCW-Mission Shakti is playing an effective role by providing training among young female folks to generate self-employment by taking advantage of available schemes at District level.
The team also raised awareness on Drug Addiction, Ill effects, treatment under the banner ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’.
The programme was attended by local women, sarpanchs, panchs, children and the team Special Cell for Women and One Stop Centre Budgam.
