Election Deptt holds training for newly appointed MTS
JAMMU: The Election Department on Friday organised a day-long training programme for the newly appointed Multi Tasking Staff (MTS).
The training was given under the supervision of Joint Chief Electoral Officer Anil Salgotra who is also holding charge of Chief Electoral Officer J&K.
The program was aimed at educating the participants about functioning of the department besides acquainting them with their responsibilities during elections and non-election period.
They were briefed about departmental hierarchy, duties and responsibilities, file maintenance, behavioral attitude, cleanliness, handling of IT equipment, conduct of elections, preparation and maintenance of electoral rolls.
These Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) are being posted in different districts for their further duties.
The training was imparted by Additional Secretary Sandish Gupta, Deputy Director Information Akhter Hussain Nazi, Assistant CEO Rohit Kashyap and other officers of the election department.
