DC B’pora chairs meeting to discuss implementation of A-Help in district
BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Tuesday chaired a meeting at mini secretariat here to implement A-Help (Accredited Agent for Health and Extension of Livestock Production) programme in the district.
The meeting discussed threadbare various modalities for implementation of A-Help programme.
On the occasion, the DC directed the concerned from NRLM to identify unemployed females for providing training as Pashu Sakhis and asked the Animal Husbandry Department to take up the matter of training for pashu Sakhis with SKAUST authorities.
Dr. Owais said pashu sakhis will help in boosting rural economy by working in coordination with Animal Husbandry department in conducting awareness, vaccination and implementation of other programmes at grassroots level.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Bandipora, Gh Ahmad Lone, DSHO, ACD and other concerned.
