ADDC Kupwara chairs review meet of My Town My Pride

KUPWARA: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara Altaf Ahmad Khan on Wednesday chaired a meeting of all concerned officers to discuss the plan for smooth conduct of My Town My Pride programme.

The meeting was held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray which discussed various aspects of the programme. The ADDC received feedback from the officers as well.

The ADDC asked officers to complete all preparation well in time so that the ambitious programme My Town My Pride could be held in the best possible way.

He asked the Executive Officers of Kupwara, Handwara and Langate MCs to play a proactive role and ensure preparations beforehand and work in tandem with other departments so that better results yield on ground.

The ADDC said that the essence of the My Town My Pride programme is to strengthen a feeling of connect between the Government and the people with the participation of ULBs.

He said the senior officers with significant administrative experience shall visit the towns during the programme who will stay two days and one night in the concerned town, to listen to public grievances and try to resolve them on spot

“They shall also hold interactions with prominent citizens, frontline government functionaries, NGOs, social organizations, senior citizens and the general public,” he said.

The ADDC also said that the visiting officers shall visit major projects of public importance, participate in exhibitions/ melas etc.

The ADDC directed other officers to gear up their manpower for successful conduct of the My Town My Pride programme.
