203 C-DYTE trained youth clear physical, medical test of Agniveer
JAMMU: As many as 203 youth of border and other blocks trained in 13 Centres for District Youth Training and Empowerment (C-DYTE) have cleared the physical and medical phase of Agniveer (Army) recruitment.
The C-DYTEs are run in Jammu district under the aegis of Mission Youth scheme and the physical test has commenced at Sunjwan, Jammu from October 17.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa congratulated the candidates who qualified the physical and medical test of Agniveer recruitment process.
She also complimented each instructor and coordinator of these 13 centres for showing such outstanding results.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration will leave no stone unturned to provide all possible facilities to the C-DYTE so that more youths can join these centres and can get maximum benefits.
A total of 451 boys participated in the Agniveer recruitment drive, out of which 301 boys cleared the physical tests but eventually only 203 could get through after the medical and documentation phase.
41 youth of Suchetgarh, 38 of Bishnah, 17 each of Khour and Marh, 12 of Pargwal, 10 of Mandal, 12 of Samwan, 06 of Khrahballi, 05 of Arnia, 04 of Chowki Choura and 01 each of Bhalwal and Mathwar Centre cleared the first hurdle.
Notably, earlier 269 youth of these centres had qualified the physical hurdle of Jammu and Kashmir Police Border Battalion recruitment and are waiting for final selection after taking the written tests, while 60 boys are waiting for final selection in SSC GD 2021 exam.
These centres were started by Jammu district administration in sub-divisions with the motive to train youths for recruitment into armed forces.
A total of 1587 boys underwent training in the first three batches which were held from September 27, 2022.
The fourth batch which is under training will be completed by November 30 of 2022.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa complimented each instructor and coordinator of these thirteen centres for showing such outstanding results.
