DGP applauds VMS for ‘noble work’
Srinagar: The Director General of Police (DGP) J&K Dilbag Singh on Monday visited Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) Bemina and interacted with the specially-abled children and members of the organization.
Notably, the Medico Social Voluntary organization has been in service since 1970.
The Police spokesman said the DGP met with physically and mentally challenged patients and had an interaction with differently-abled kids studying in the School.
The DGP has also interacted with VMS Management and took keen interest in all the facilities available to the patients.
“He applauded the management and the staff of the society for their work towards the noble cause,” the spokesman said.
The DGP has assured all possible support to the Society on behalf of J&K Police.
SSP Srinagar Rakesh Balwal, SP West Srinagar Al-Tahir Geelani, SDPO West Shahjahan, DySP Miss Anubhuti, Dr Mir Mohammad Maqbool President VMS, Dr Bashir Ahmed Administrator VMS, Dr Sohail Incharge physiotherapy department, Dr Mohammad Auyoob Principal Shafaqat special school and Insha Bashir international wheelchair basketball player of India & other officials of Voluntary Medicare Society were present on the occasion.
