Day-2 of B2V4: Array of activities held at Shopian

SHOPIAN: The phase first of Back to Village-4th culminated on Saturday across Shopian with an array of activities conducted in all 32 Panchayats of the district.

On the occasion, the visiting officers held interaction with the locals, civil society and PRI representatives of their respective Panchayats to take stock of public demands, grievances and other developmental needs.

Officers along with officials of line departments inspected various works executed under previous B2V programmes and other developmental schemes.

The visiting officers also inspected Amrit Sarovar sites, JJM works and inaugurated several projects including Roads constructed under MGNREGA, Amrit Sarovar ponds, drains and other works.

They also distributed land passbooks, mother and child care kits under BBBP among beneficiaries on the occasion.

The officers took stock of the progress of various schemes and plans being implemented by various departments.

Officers visited several government offices in the villages including schools, Healthcare centres, Anganwari centres, and other offices and took stock of the services being provided to the public.
