B2V-4: DC Kulgam visits Gasran
Facilitates Class 1st student to Inaugurate playfield in the village
KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Saturday visited Gasran village and listened to issues and grievances of people for timely redressal.
PRI members and people from the village apprised the DC about the issues and put forth various demands.
The DC listened to all the delegations while grievances were redressed on spot.
Later, in a unique initiative Dr Bilal got the newly developed playfield at village Gasranoo inaugurated by a little boy, Zeeshan Nawaz a student of class Ist primary to create a sense of belonging among them.
The playground has been established at an estimated cost of Rs. 20 lacs by the Rural Development Department (RDD).
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) said the playfields will provide a platform to the local youth to showcase their talent.
He also highlighted other youth engagement initiatives which have been taken by the district administration.
Rasik Salam a young cricketer, was guest of honour during the function.
