DHEW Shopian holds Awareness programme at PHC Pinjoora
SHOPIAN: The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Shopian on Thursday organised an awareness programme highlighting the role of DHEW and other women centric schemes at Primary Health Centre, Pinjoora Shopian.
The team of DHEW inculcated awareness on the theme of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ among women, and raised awareness among the participants about various women welfare related schemes like women helpline 181 and One Stop Centre for women.
Similarly, they also spoke on several other initiatives of the Government, being implemented for women empowerment including Tejaswini, ICPS, Livelihood Scheme for women entrepreneurs, old age pension scheme for widow women/ specially abled people, Marriage assistance scheme, Childline 1098.
They emphasized upon women present to take benefit of the schemes and approach them in case of need.
The team also noted the grievances of the women and assured them for help as soon as possible.
