‘B2V programme’ a golden opportunity to cover 100% population under PM-JAY SEHAT: Kumar

SRINAGAR: Secretary Health and Medical Education (H&ME) department Bhupinder Kumar on Saturday exhorted upon the officers to ensure 100 percent completion of golden cards distribution under Ayushman Bharat SEHAT scheme.

He said this while chairing a meeting held regarding preparedness for the ‘Back to Village’ (B2V) programme here at the civil secretariat.

“The ‘Back to Village’ programme offers a golden opportunity for the health department to cover all the population under the PM-JAY SEHAT scheme,” he said.

He stressed on Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) and other stakeholders to intensify IEC activities at village level so that awareness is created at grass root level and more and more people take benefit of this revolutionary scheme.

“Back to Village is a festival of development in villages and provides the best opportunity for the government and the people to know each other better for overall benefit of the society. Health being one of the major concerns of everyone needs to be prioritized particularly issuance of golden cards,” Secretary said.

Secretary directed the CMOs to share a daily report of golden card registration with the administrative department.
