NCSS registration portal: DPIIT conducts training cum workshop on operational guidelines

JAMMU: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Wednesday conducted a one day training cum workshop regarding awareness on operational guidelines for the ‘New Central Sector Scheme [NCSS]’ and portal for registration of units for staff of Industries and Commerce Department and the Entrepreneurs under the scheme.
In the morning session, Union Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Rajendra Ratnoo, along with departmental team comprising Narinder Singh Arneja, Yatindra Sexena, Anil Kumar Awasthi and Vishesh Singh of E&Y addressed the team of officers and officials of Directorate of Industries and Commerce and District Industries Centre(s) of Jammu province. They acquainted them about operation of NCSS portal for registration of units, Working Capital Interest Suvention, Term Loan Interest Subvention, Capital Investment Incentive and GST linked incentives claim application forms and subsequent uploading of documents. The team also cleared various doubts of the participants.
The afternoon session witnessed a thorough interaction of the expert team with the Industrial Associations of Jammu for Industrial Development of Jammu & Kashmir.

Rajendra Ratnoo apprised the association members of various financial and tax benefits available under the New Central Sector Scheme to attract new investment in the UT both in manufacturing and service sectors. He also explained about the salient features and other aspects of NCSS portal and the NCSS as well.
Later, training was imparted to the officials working in NCSS portal.
Director Industries & Commerce, Jammu, Dr. Vikas Gupta, expressed gratitude to Union Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Rajindera Ratnoo, and his team for sharing their incredible experience and expertise with the team of officers here which will greatly help in effective implementation of NCSS in the region.
The delegates of various Industrial Associations comprising Lalit Mahajan, Vijay Aggarwal, Rajesh Jain, Jatinder Aul, Rahul Sahai, Harbinder Singh, Deepak Dewan, Umesh Gupta, Irfan Ahmed, Manik Batra, Rakesh Wazir and Ritu Singh highlighted their issues besides suggesting several measures aiming further improvement in the scheme and Ease of Doing Business in the UT.
They also highlighted their issues pertaining to earlier IDS 2017 as well as registration under the new NCSS policy.
Rajendra Ratnoo assured full cooperation in effective implementation of their projects and availing various incentives being extended by the UT and Central Governments. He said that the government has taken a very keen view of sustainability of the existing enterprises and inviting new investments in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir as well.
