Woman drug peddler held in Sopore
Contraband substances and cash recovered: Police
Sopore: Police on Tuesday arrested a woman drug peddler and recovered contraband substance and cash from her possession.
A police spokesman in a statement said a police party established a naka and apprehended one woman drug peddler identified as Fatima Begum wife of Javaid Ahmad Lone of Tujjar Sopore and recovered 40 grams of Brown sugar from her possession. Besides, an amount of Rs 23000 was also recovered from her.
“The accused has been arrested and shifted to the women’s cell Bomai where she remains in custody,” the police spokesman said.
Regarding the incident case with FIR No. 46/2022 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Bomai Sopore and further investigation taken up, the spokesman added.
