Police distributes wheelchairs, hearing aids among specially-abled persons

Srinagar: Police on Tuesday distributed wheelchairs and other hearing machines among specially-abled persons at District Police Lines.
The aids were distributed under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) of the Police.
SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar distributed wheelchairs and hearing aids among more than 60 specially-abled persons.
He also distributed school bags and stationery items among as many students of the district.
SSP Ganderbal during his interaction with the beneficiaries assured them all possible support from the Police department in order to make their lives easy and comfortable.
He said that the persons with physical challenges need to be taken care-off by society.
He further stated that the Police department will always play its eminent role in this regard.
He advised the Police officers and jawans to show empathy and kindness towards such segments of the society and come forward with helping hands to make them feel part and parcel of the society.
He also asked the beneficiaries not to allow their physical hindrances and infirmities to come in their ways and to stay active in their lives in pursuit of their goals.
