Delegation of all Fruit Growers Association Kashmir calls on DC Ramban
RAMBAN: A delegation of All Fruit Growers Association from Kashmir Valley, led by Chairman Bashir Ahmed Bashir, Tuesday called on Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam and apprised him about issues confronting them.
Area Marketing Officer, Horticulture Department, Sunil Bakshi and others concerned were present on the occasion.
The meeting discussed the issues regarding transportation of fruits from Kashmir to other parts of the country and provision of hassle-free traffic movement of fruit carrying vehicles on national highway from Banihal to Nashri. The DC directed the Sub Divisional Magistrates and Traffic Police to implement the order of no Parking Zone, especially in Banihal area to provide safe passage to fruit carrying vehicles on the National Highway.
After listening to the delegation, the Deputy Commissioner assured them of every possible help to them in this regard. He said that the district administration will address all the genuine concerns of the fruit growers on priority basis.
