JMC, CEE setting up plastic recycling facility at Bandurakh

JAMMU: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has signed an agreement with Centre for Environment Education (CEE) to set up a plastic recycling facility in Bandurakh, where five Metric tons of plastic waste will be converted into useful products after recycling.
In this regard, a workshop was organized by CEE on Waste Management in association with Quality Council of India in the conference hall of JMC.
The workshop was organised for understanding the characterization of MSW and finding the GAP in Waste Management.
Participants were Sanitation Officer, Assistant Sanitation Officer and Sanitary officers of all three zones.
Workshop was inaugurated by Mayor Chandra Mohan Gupta. He assured the QCI and CEE team of full cooperation from the JMC.
Deputy Mayor Advocate Poornima Sharma, Chairman Swachh Bharat Committee Hardeep Singh, Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Committee Raj Kumar Tarkhan, Commissioner JMC Rahul Yadav, Joint Commissioner H&S Kulbhushan Khajuria and Health Officer Vinod Sharma were also present on the occasion.
