Nasha Mukt J&K: Specially abled person take out rally in Bpr

BANDIPORA: In a unique initiative and as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the specially abled person of the district on Wednesday took out a massive awareness rally educating and informing the masses about ill effects of drugs on the social set up.
The programme was jointly organised by the Department of Poshan (ICDS) and Social Welfare in collaboration with District Administration under the overall supervision and guidance of Dr. Owais Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora.
The specially abled person mostly on scooties carrying messages about drug abuse, effects on society, role of youth/teachers and society went through different areas after flagged-off from Mini secretariat Bandipora.
Enroute people in large numbers participated in the rally and it received warm welcome everywhere.
Similarly, Nasha Mukt J&K programmes were held in about 50 Anganwadi centres in Hajin, Sumbal, Bandipora and Gurez projects in which beneficiaries, anganwadi workers/helpers, supervisors and CDPOs participated.
Social Welfare deptt also organised a number of rallies in different blocks and tehsils.
School Education deptt under the supervision of Dy CEO Dr. Rafiq organised rallies, seminars etc. in a number of institutions.
