IIM Jammu hosting 3-day Orientation Program for new batch

JAMMU: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu will be holding a holistic 3-day Orientation Program for the second batch of Integrated Program in Management (IPM).
The Orientation Program will be held in offline mode with all necessary precautions against COVID-19, ensuring the safety of everyone. The idea associated with this Orientation Program is to acquaint the incoming students with the culture, academic opportunities, ethos, and general rules of IIM Jammu. The program will help in facilitating a welcoming environment for the new aspiring students and their families to meet and have open communication with the faculty, staff, senior students, and all key activity heads of the Institute under one roof.
During the Orientation Program, each day will commence at 6:00 AM with ‘Maximize Happiness and Mindfulness’ sessions conducted by TBF, Yoga, and Meditation Trainer, Gautam Verma. It is imperative to build strength, awareness as well as harmony in both mind and body. The orientation program will also feature a non-site visit to IIM Jammu state-of-the-art campus at Jagti.
Prof. Manoj Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu will be the Chief Guest and Sanjeev Verma, will be the Guest of Honor on the occasion. The program will be formally inaugurated on 5th Sept 2022. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, will deliver the welcome address. Dr. Milind Kamble, Chairman, BoG, IIM Jammu, will preside over the function and deliver the presidential address. The program also features addresses by Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics, and Dr. Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Chairperson Admissions and Dr. Kapil Manohar Gumte. The vote of thanks will be delivered by Dr. Minakshi Kumari, Chairperson Alumni Affairs, IIM Jammu.
Top bureaucrats, industry speakers, and corporate leaders ranging from Neeru Monga, Manager HR-Talent Business, Neeru Monga, Manager HR-Talent Business, Mr. Arjun Mohan, CEO, Upgrad, Gaurav Saini, Director HR, Nokia, Kushal Bhat, Director-HR, Razorpayare also invited to address the new batch and motivate them for their academic journey at IIM Jammu. The orientation program also involves a session by Government official Shri Raghubir Singh IPS (Retd.), AnvyLavasa, Deputy Commissioner Jammu and Dr. Harbaksh Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu. The orientation program will also be featuring different interesting sessions by the faculty and officers of IIM Jammu.
