NEP-2020: SP Clg holds week-long Student Induction Programme

SRINAGAR: The Dean Students Welfare (boys & girls wings), Career Counseling Cell and Mentor-Mentee Committee of Government Sri Pratap College, Srinagar organised a week long student induction programme (Deeksharamb) for the newly admitted students of undergraduate and integrated courses.
On different days students enrolled in different departments were given awareness about the course structure under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the infrastructural facilities available in the college.
Dean Students Welfare Girls Wing Dr. Khalida Hassan gave introductory remarks about the induction programme.
The heads of different departments introduced to the students the details about the subjects offered and the faculty profile of their respective departments.
A documentary showcasing the college in terms of facilities available was shown to the students to acquaint them with the college.
SP College Principal Dr. Khurshid Ahmad Khan welcomed the newly admitted students and briefed about the historical importance of the college. He encouraged the students to be inquisitive and explore new possibilities of learning and personality development.
Convener Discipline Committee Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar gave a brief to the students about the different dimensions of discipline in the college.
Dean Students Welfare Boys Wing, Dr. Jan Shabir elaborated on facilities present in the department of physics and how students can get maximum benefit from them.
