Police arrests drug peddler in Sopore
Srinagar: Police on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that a police party established at a checkpoint at Jahangir Colony Warpora Sopore and during checking intercepted a person in a suspicious manner. During search, 12grms of Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Para son of Muhammad Maqbool Para resident of Adipora Sopore. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 191/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Sopore and further investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
