Anti-Ragging, Awareness Programme Organized in GNHS Baramulla

BARAMULLA: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Baramulla in collaboration with Guru Nanak High School and under the patronage of Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Chairman DLSA Baramulla organized an Anti-Ragging/Awareness Programme at Guru Nanak High School Baramulla.
A large number of students showed their participation in the programme organized under the supervision of Fariqa Nazir, Secretary/Sub-Judge DLSA Baramulla.
The programme was aimed to raise awareness among students and staff about the menace of ragging. During the program, the role of an institution in ensuring the safety of students was highlighted and taught to the students.
Ld. Secretary apprised the students about the definition and scope of ragging, menace of ragging and its ill consequences. The students were given ample knowledge of Anti-ragging laws, methods to prevent bullying and being bullied, helpline numbers and other preventive methods.
Some of the staff members and students of the school also gave a brief speech on the same subject.
Other speakers also made the audience aware about the menace of Ragging and further appreciated the Institute for taking all the measures to curb the menace of Ragging and keeping the school ragging free.
Later, a felicitation programme was held wherein Ld. Secretary distributed participation and appreciation certificates among the staff and students.
