Kumar conducts on spot inspection of ongoing projects of GMC Jammu & AHJ

JAMMU: Secretary Health and Medical Education (H&ME) department Bhupinder Kumar on Saturday visited the Government Medical College Jammu and its Associated Hospitals to conduct on spot inspection of the major ongoing projects of GMC and AHJ.
The Secretary took a detailed tour of the PMDP approved project namely Bone and Joint Hospital and CSS approved projects namely State Cancer Institute(SCI) at Super Specialty Hospital Jammu and construction of Auditorium, Cafeteria including parking in Chest Disease Hospital Jammu.
During the visit, Secretary was apprised by Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma Principal and Dean GMC Jammu about the status of ongoing works of Bone and Joint Hospital and apprised that the hospital shall be soon ready for operation.
Bhupinder Kumar impressed upon the Executing Agencies to complete the project of Bone and Joint Hospital well within the prescribed time limits including the development of landscaping, boundary wall and external facade of the hospital.
During the visit of State Cancer Institute of Super Specialty Hospital Jammu the Secretary impressed upon the executing agencies that the project should be completed within two months and he further directed Principal Government Medical College Jammu to ensure the installation of High End machinery in the SCI after convening a detailed consultative & coordinated meeting with all wings of Executing Agencies, HOD Radiology, Medical Superintendent, suppliers.
During his visit to CD hospital it was informed to the Secretary that the construction of Auditorium, Cafeteria including parking will be completed by March 2023.
Bhupinder Kumar impressed upon Executive Agencies to expedite the works of all the projects on war footing so that these major deliverables can be completed well within the prescribed framework of time.
He further stressed that monitoring of these developmental projects and other deliverables shall be a continuous process and the Executing Agencies and Medical Authorities must gear up completely and work relentlessly to achieve the targets. He also directed that all the issues impeding the progress of the projects should be timely resolved through active coordination of all the stakeholders.
