CCPC to organise 3-day mentoring workshop on ‘study abroad’ at KU

Srinagar: The Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC) University of Kashmir is organising a three-day mentoring and capacity-building workshop on ‘Career Opportunities Abroad’ in collaboration with Project Eduaccess from August 29 to 31.
“More than 1500 registrations have been received so far from different schools, colleges and universities of Kashmir. The workshop will be spread over three days with day-one dedicated to the students of Social Sciences, day-two for the students of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and day-three for the students of Arts and Humanities,” Director CCPC Prof Geer M Ishaq said.
During the three-day workshop, sessions will be conducted by the pass-outs of some reputed international universities like Oxford University, Cambridge University, London University, UNSW Australia, Milano and Durham University.
Some eminent speakers of ‘Project Eduaccess’ team scheduled to speak during the workshop include Misbah Reshi, Sameer Rashid, Muda Tariq, Imad-ul-Riyaz, Samia Mehraj, Sadaf Mir, Suhail Rashid Bhat, Gayathree Devi KT, Ifsha Zehra, Ubaid Shah, Muzaffar Shah, Arooj Khalil and Maria Shawl.
The inaugural session will be held at KU’s Gandhi Bhawan at 10 am on Monday, where the Vice-Chancellor Prof Nilofer Khan shall be the Chief Guest, while Prof Farooq A Masoodi, Dean Academic Affairs and Dr Nisar A Mir, Registrar will be the Guests of Honour.
“It has always been our endeavour at CCPC to guide the students in their higher studies on merit-based scholarships and fellowships both within and outside the country and this is a step in that direction,” Prof. Geer said.
