Police arrests two drug peddlers in Handwara

Srinagar: Police has arrested two drug peddlers in Handwara and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
A police party while patrolling in Pandithpora area intercepted and apprehended two suspicious persons. During checking, officers were able to recover 106grams of Charas like substance from their possession. They have been identified as Tariq Ahmad Moochi son of Mohammad Maqbool Moochi and Abdul Quyoom Mir son of Ghulam Nabi Mir both residents of Pandithpora. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 70/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kralgund and further investigation has been taken up, the spokesman said.
