IGGDC-J organizes Har Ghar Trainga programme

Jammu: Indira Gandhi Government Dental college & Hospital Jammu (IGGDC-J) and the Post Graduate Department of conservative Dentistry and Endodontics organized a week long(11-17 August) program under Har Ghar Trainga Program for celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahoustav commemorating 75th Anniversary of years of Independence of India. Dr. Rakesh Krishan Gupta principal IGGDC was the patron and main guiding force behind the event, a statement issued here said.
Dr. Azhar Malik, Professor and HOD Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics and cultural incharge IGGDC was the organizing chairman of the entire event.
A poster competition was organized on 12th August, by Dr. Rachna Dhani (Assistant professor) and DR Shamim Anjum (Assistant professor) on the theme of ‘India’s Struggle for Independence’ saw a huge participation of BDS and MDS students. On 13th August a quiz competition was conducted by Dr. Ajay Gupta (Associate professor Conservative Dentistry) and DR. Sukhbir kour (Registrar) along with DR. Ashish Choudhary (Registrar) on the theme of “Journey from Pre independence India to its achievements in 75 years”.
The quiz saw huge participation and wasconducted in two stages-elimination and main quiz, the statement said.
A marathon was conducted on 16th August in collaboration with Dept of sports, Jammu university DR.Ritesh Gupta was in incharge of the event.
On 17th August various cultural programs and felicitation program was held. Retired faculty and paramedic staff were felicitated and their contribution towards the college was recognized and appreciated. The staff students and paramedics participated in skit dance and singings competition and winners of various events were also felicitated by the chief guest, the statement added.
