Three JCB’s, four vehicles involved in illegal mining seized inPulwama

Pulwama: The Geology and Mining department last night seized three JCB machines, two dumpers and two tippers which were found involved in illegal mining in Karmabad and Awantipora areas of south Kashmir.
The operation was carried out by the Geology Mining Department in areas of Pulwama as a result of which whole machinery along with dumpers were detained from the spot and later on seized by DMO Pulwama.
The special team of the Geology and mining department carried out the operation in Karmabad and Awantipora last night.
Both the machines and dumper and tippers after seizure were kept in the custody of police till realization of penalty from them as per the rules of Geology and Mining Department.
Notably the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Baseer ul haq has already cautioned the field staff of Geology and Mining department to remain vigilant and alert against violators and illegal miners if found involved in illegal mining activities.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Geology and Mining Department are continuously holding inspections during day time and night hours in the areas having apprehension of illegal mining activities in Pulwama.
