Police arrests two drug peddlers in Bla

Baramulla: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered Psychotropic substances from their possession, a police spokesman said.
The police spokesman said a police Party of PS Baramulla under the supervision of SHO PS Baramulla during routine checking near Khanpora Bridge Baramulla arrested 02 drug peddlers.
They have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Shiekh son of Gh Hassan Shiekh resident of Zehanpora Boniyar and Javaid Rashid Bhat @ Izhar son of Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Mohalla Mir Sahib Baramulla A/P Drangbal Baramulla.
During search, officers were able to recover 1470 tablets of Spasmoproxivan from their possession, the handout reads.
“They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody,” handout reads.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated.
The Police have urged the community members to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood.
“Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making continuous efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace,” the handout reads.
