DC Kupwara chairs meeting of DLCLC

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara Khalid Jahangir Tuesday convened a meeting of District Level Committee for Land Conversion (DLCLC) to review the cases pertaining to conversion of agricultural land into non-agriculture purposes.
As many as 14 cases were put up for discussion; of which 1 case was approved by the committee while 2 cases were reserved, 1 case was rejected and 10 cases are under process for NOCs from line departments.
On the occasion, the DC directed the concerned officers for issuance of the pending NOCs within 10 days. He asked them for the holding of onsite inspection of the cases as and when the NOCs are issued.
Later in a separate meeting DC Kupwara took a review of the status of disposal of JKIGRAMS grievances in the district.
It was informed in the meeting that a total of 4950 grievances pertaining to different departments have been received in the district.
Out of which 4769 have been resolved and disposed-off so far. Besides, 199 grievances are currently under progress for resolution.
On the occasion, the DC stressed upon the officers to ensure timely and quality disposal of the grievances so that good governance prevails on the ground.
He directed the officers to be proactive in resolving the grievances on priority basis adding that deficiency if any found on part of any officer regarding timely disposal of the grievances shall be viewed seriously.
