DC Pulwama visits Kakapora, areas proximal to river Jehlum

PULWAMA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary Thursday visited the areas of Kakapora, Pingelana, Marval to review the status of essential commodities, restoration of power supply and healthcare services.
The DC toured these village to ensure the availability of essential services in the backdrop of inclement weather within the proximity of Jehlum River.
While reviewing the post rainfall situation and the availability of essential commodities in the area, the DC was informed that there was sufficient stock of essential commodities available in the area including LPG, ration, Vegetables and other essentials. .
DC met various delegations at Kakapora town and passed spot directions for the early disposal of grievances and issues of day to day life.
On the occasion, DC directed the officials of all line departments to work in mission mode besides coordinating with each other to ensure uninterrupted supply of the essential items and services in the district.
He directed Tehsildar Kakapora, officials of R&B ,Jal Shakti ,PDD and other line departments to remain stationed at their locations and ensure prompt delivery of essential items and services to the public and address emergency demands with utmost preparedness.
Choudhary asked AC Legal Metrology; AD, FCS&CA; FSOs to remain present at their designated locations.
He also directed the concerned to conduct regular market checking to check the arbitrary rise in prices and illegal stocking.
Meanwhile, the DC made a visit to revenue scanning centers in Kakapora and Awantipora and reviewed digitization of land records. He directed the officials to complete the digitization process before the timeline.
