Book on ‘Social Media-A Powerful Platform For Dawah’ launched at IUST
Srinagar: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) on Thursday organized a function to launch a book titled ‘Social Media-A Powerful Platform For Dawah’ authored by Raashid Ul Nabi Khan.
The author is law graduate and hails from Drussu Pulwama. He also holds Masters in political science along with B.Ed.
“He is a passionate teacher, writer and Daee of Islam,” a handout issued here read.
Khan is a recipient of the best teacher award-2020 from the Institute of Scholars Banglore India in recognition of valuable contribution to the academic community and the students.
He is also a recipient of the best scholar award from J&K Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society (JKIFTS) in recognition of his excellence as a teaching scholar.
He attended the Yidan Prize conference in Europe 2021 and also Nobel Prize Teacher Summit 2021.
He has received appreciation from Sister-in-law of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Lauren Booth for Dawah work.
Director, International Centre for Spiritual Studies Professor Hamid Naseem Rafiabadi, appreciated the efforts of Youth icon Raashid Ul Nabi Khan.
“We need more and more Dawah icons like Raashid,” he said.
The book launch function was attended by Vice Chancellor IUST Professor Shakeel Ahmed Ramshoo, Vice Chancellor Cluster University Srinagar Prof Qayyum Hussain, Professor Abdul Haq professor Emeritus, Delhi University and adjunct faculty ICSS, Director International centre for Spiritual studies Professor Hamid Naseem Rafiabadi, Renowned Religious Scholar Moulana Ahmed Shah Lolabi and Co ordinator Iqbal Institute of Culture and Philosophy KU Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Ganaie.
The author was accompanied by his father whom he took his inspiration from.
