Top officers review Independence Day-2022 arrangements at Bakshi Stadium
Srinagar: The Deputy Inspector General of Police Central Kashmir Sujit Kumar and Additional Commissioner Kashmir Qazi Sarwar Monday reviewed the arrangements and preparations at Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium, the main venue for Independence Day-2022 celebrations in the summer capital.
An official spokesman said in a statement that the officers issued a slew of instructions related to designation of parking places, entry and exit of VVIPs and other participants, seating arrangements, fixation of podium, participation of contingents, security arrangements, lighting and illumination, installation of CCTV in peripheral areas and contingency plan.
“The officers urged the concerned departments to ensure proper arrangements vis-à-vis dewatering plan and covering of ground in case of drizzle ahead of August 15,” the spokesman said.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar; Secretary Sports Council, SSP security; CEs of R&B, PHE; officers of various departments including Information, Health, Traffic, UEED, KPDCL and other departments were present at the venue.
