DCs review arrangements at Budgam, Pulwama, Kupwara

Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza on Monday chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of Independence Day-2022 celebrations at all venues in the district.
The main function will be held at Sports Stadium Budgam which will start with ‘Shahnai Wadan’m followed by hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Mirza said in a statement.
He said the Chief Guest will inspect the march-past and take the salute to be presented by contingents from J&K Police, Armed Police, CRPF, Home Guard, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC, besides contingents from various educational institutions.
The DC called for making foolproof arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the celebrations and stressed on carrying out cleanliness and sanitation drives at all locations. He directed that all line departments shall hoist banners depicting work achievements of their offices.
PULWAMA: Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary convened a meeting of officers to review arrangements being put in place by different departments for celebration of Independence Day-2022.
During the meeting, District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama was selected as the main venue for the celebration where the Chief Guest will unfurl the national flag. Besides DPL Awantipora, the Independence Day celebrations will also be held at Tehsil headquarters and Blocks.
“On the occasion, threadbare discussion was held with regard to the security arrangements, traffic regulation, seating arrangements, Full Dress Rehearsal, decoration, Shahnaivadan, PAS, Power and water supply, transport arrangements, sanitation, Medicare facilities, invitation cards and barricading at venue,” an official spokesman said.
Choudhary emphasized on making the ‘Har Ghar Janda’ programme a success and directed ACD Pulwama to make an effective action plan for the same. He also stressed upon unfurling of National Flag on all School and Govt buildings in consonance with the National Flag Code.
KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir also convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements being put in place by different departments for smooth celebrations of Independence Day-2022 in the district.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues with regard to arrangements for smooth conduct of the National Day and officers were given assignments as per the past practice.
The DC said that the main function of Independence Day shall be held at District Police Lines, Kupwara, where the National Flag will be hoisted, followed by inspection of the parade.
“There will be a joint march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRP, IRPF, Home Guard, Forest Protection Force, NCC and School Children,” he said.
On the occasion, the DC impressed upon all concerned departments to work with more zeal and dedication to make the event a grand success in the district.
It was also decided that the celebration of Independence Day shall also be held at Sub-Divisional Levels, and in this regard Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Handwara and SDM Lolab/Karnah were directed to ensure celebration of the event at their respective headquarters and take necessary steps in order to make the programme successful.
ANANTNAG: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh also chaired a joint meeting of officers to review arrangements being put in place by different departments for the colourful celebration of Independence Day, 2022.
The meeting was apprised that GDC Boys Khanabal shall be the main venue for the celebration where the chief guest will unfurl the tricolour.
Threadbare discussions were held on security arrangements, traffic regulation, seating arrangements, full dress rehearsal, decoration, shahnaivadan, PAS, power and water supply, transport arrangements, sanitation, medicare facilities, invitation cards and barricading venue of the function.
The ADC directed all officers to make necessary arrangements in advance for the national event and called for complete synergy among the officers for smooth conduct of Independence Day functions across the district. He said the national event demands complete seriousness while performing the tasks so that the festival is observed in complete honour with laid down protocol.
The PDD and Jal Shakti departments were directed to ensure proper management of electricity and water including stand by arrangements at the venue.
The CMO was asked to ensure proper essential medical facilities along with staff and ambulances.
The CEO of the Municipal Council was assigned the task of sanitation and ensuring cleanliness of the main venue and town.
The ADC stressed on ensuring fool proof arrangements at tehsil and block levels also to celebrate the national event with great enthusiasm and traditional gaiety.
The meeting also deliberated on the “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme and worked out the strategy for making the event a mass festival.
All the departments were asked to appoint nodal officers for requisitioning national flags and the District Sports Officer was asked to prepare pamphlets on flag code and its protocol for distribution among the civilians and institutions.
The meeting was attended by JD-Planning, ACR, ACD, CEO, Principals of Colleges, Commandant CRPF, DSP-HQ, officers from Army, all Tehsildars, Ex. Engineers of R&B and PHE and other district and sectoral officers of the district.
