Admin holds Joint Umbrella Camps in 67 panchayats at Kupwara

KUPWARA: The District Administration Kupwara Wednesday organized Joint Umbrella camps in 67 panchayats of all 24 blocks of the district.
The objective of organizing these camps is to ensure 100 percent coverage and saturation under key performance indicators for financial inclusion in a mission mode.
The functionaries of Health, ICDS, Agriculture, Banking, RDD and NRLM attended the camps and provided awareness about centrally sponsored beneficiary oriented schemes including Old Age pension, Golden Health Card, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, Minority Scholarship, Aadhaar seeding, KCC, Soil Health Cards, MUDRA Loan, and other indicators under Aspirational District Programme.
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir directed Monitoring Teams to ensure presence of all designated staff available at Joint Umbrella camps. He said that the schemes are being saturated to improve the key performance indicators. He said in Phase-III of Joint Umbrella camps, good response of public involvement was noticed.
While releasing the data in the evening regarding the achievements of day long umbrella camps, it was informed that 1057 Golden Cards, 1533 KCC, 2245 Soil Health Cards have been issued during the day long umbrella camps. Besides, enrollment of 906 beneficiaries under PMSBY, 600 beneficiaries under PMJJY, 48 under APY and 449 Aadhaar seeding with bank accounts was also done.
Meanwhile, ACD Kupwara, Mehraj-u-din Shah participated in Panchayat camp at Vodhpora Nutnussa today and ACP at Sonmullah Ramhall panchayat. Other monitoring teams participated in panchayat camps in their respective jurisdictions.
