Amarnath Yatra: DC Pulwama inspects facilities along Highway
Pulwama: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary on Monday visited National Highway (NH-44) in Awantipora and Pampore to take stock of wayside facilities for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra starting June 30.
The DC passed spot instructions for providing basic facilities like medical aid centres, critical care 108 ambulance services, ample stocks of petrol and diesel besides adequate parking and toilet facilities along the National Highway falling within the jurisdiction of Pulwama district.
He directed CMO, Pulwama to equip PHC Awantipora with all facilities for use in case of any emergency.
The DC also passed spot instructions to the concerned officers to remain alert and address any issue pertaining to Yatra with promptness.
