DC Bla chairs DLC meet, reviews functioning of Revenue Department

Baramulla: The District Level Committee (DLC) on Saturday met under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar at the meeting hall of DC Office, Baramulla.
The meeting was convened to review the process of Change of Land Use in the district.
On the occasion, threadbare discussion was held with regard to the process of change in land use from agricultural to non-agricultural activities in the district.
While taking a comprehensive review, DC enquired about the status of NOCs being issued in favour of applicants and applications received till date besides their reporting and follow up status by the concerned departments.
The chair was informed that a total of 13 applications through on-line mode were received during which the DC directed the concerned line departments to ensure timely issuance of NOCs to the applicants after proper verification of documents and rules under land conversion.
DC Baramulla said the applicants will get NOCs on a fast-track basis through the change of land use application and would ensure prompt public services delivery.
Meanwhile, the DC also reviewed the functioning of the Revenue Department besides discussed revenue related matters in the district.
The DC took a detailed review of activities including writing of jamabandis and their digitisation, writing of khasra girdawari registers, attestation of mutations, demarcation of state land, eviction of encroachment from state land, status of disposal of court cases, scanning of revenue documents etc.
On the occasion, the DC asked the officers to play a proactive role in the field in resolving public grievances. She directed them to remain punctual in their offices and duty places to serve the public and make the public service delivery system more vibrant.
During the meeting, DC impressed upon the Revenue Officers to work with dedication and zeal for delivering public services in a smooth and transparent manner. She stressed upon the concerned authorities to ensure the completion of Jamabandi, land record digitization and directed to remove all types of encroachments from State / Kahcharai lands.
The DC stressed the need to update jamabandi and asked officers to submit updated statements. She asked field functionaries including Naib Tehsildars and Patwaris to conduct regular inspections in their respective jurisdictions.
