Two day yoga session for KAS probationers concludes

Srinagar: The two day yoga sessions organised by J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (JK IMPARD), on “Meditation and Breathing Techniques” for 2020 batch JKAS Probationary Officer trainees culminated on Friday.
The officers are undergoing Phase-I of their Induction Training at IMPARD, Srinagar.
The sessions were conducted under the guidance and supervision of Director General IMPARD, Saurabh Bhagat,
The yoga sessions were held under the auspices of the ‘Art of Living’ foundation with Vandana Daftari and Avinash Tiku as trainers.
The Director General organized these yoga sessions to help and equip them with simple and practical techniques to get rid of anxiety and negativity considering the high job stress and feeling of exhaustion among the officers due to their demanding jobs and long working hours.
The art of living yoga programme included practical and simple yet highly effective and tested methods which draw upon ancient and widely acclaimed wisdom.
In addition to this, the programme also included interactive sessions, games, discussions besides methods of managing emotions and dealing with negativity.
These processes are aimed at improving life skills, producing better response to work and life situations, which lead to achieving commitment to work with higher efficiency.
The Director General was encouraged by the enthusiasm among trainees towards these yoga sessions and said that Yoga would be made an important component of training courses being conducted by IMPARD for all cadres.
