Nitishwar Kumar inspects SAJY arrangements

'Ensure all facilities are in place before the commencement of Yatra'

Anantnag: Principal Secretary to J&K Lieutenant Governor (LG) Nitishwar Kumar on Wednesday directed the camp directors of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SAJY) to maintain a close synergy with officials from various departments.
He also instructed the officers to take regular review of the arrangements at their camps to ensure all facilities are in place before the commencement of the Yatra.
Kumar passed these instruction during his visit to Nunwan base camp to take stock of SAJY arrangements.
He was accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole besides HoDs of Health and Tourism department.
Kumar inspected Nunwan base camp and took stock of pitching of tents, security deployment, sanitation facilities, electricity and drinking water supply.
He also inspected the arrangements at Frisking point Sarbal.
The Principal Secretary, who is also the CEO of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), held a meeting with the camp directors of various camps on the Pahalgam axis.
During the meeting he was informed that preparations were going on as per plan.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla, SSP Anantnag Ashish Mishra and senior officials from various line departments were present on the occasion.
