Jashn e Gurez: Ali sports academy holds coaching camp at Gurez
Bandipora: A coaching camp for various sports and martial arts was organized by Ali’s Sports Academy in collaboration with the District Administration, Tourism Department and Indian Army at Army Helipad Dawar. The camp was organised in connection with the Jashn-e-Gurez festival.
The camp was organised for the Youth, Students both Boys and Girls of Gurez in the field of Rugby, Pencak Silat, Wushu and other sports and martial arts.
The event was attended by SDM Gurez Dr. Mudasir Ahmad, Commanding Officer 9-Rajput and Padma Shri awardee Faisal Ali Dar.
Students from HS jurniyal Tulail, MS Chorwan, BMS Markoot, GMS Markoot, Girls Higher Secondary Dawar, Boys Higher Secondary Dawar, BMS Dawar, GMS Dawar, HS Wanpora, BMS Wanpora and GMS Wanpora participated in the coaching camp.
The local youth appreciated the efforts of administration, army and Ali’s sports Academy for conducting such events in Gurez.
The Jashn-e-Gurez Festival is being conducted to boost the tourism potential of Gurez valley and promote it as an adventure tourism destination.
